Fall & Halloween Fun!

I really enjoy the fall season and all the fun things there are to do with the kids, not to mention all the baking I do with pumpkin incorporated, yum!

I thought I would just show some fun pictures of our October fun... Kai's Kinder field-trip, the pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving, and Halloween. October was such a fun month and I love doing all these fun things with my girls.

Our family dressed up on Halloween for the kids party at their school. Kai was a witch, Tyler a Leopard, Austin made me a skeleton shirt, with the skeleton of the baby even, and Austin was, well what he is in every day life, and Medical Professional. The girls like it when we dress up, and they we so happy that even the baby had a Halloween costume.

This is Kai's Kindergarten class at the pumpkin patch. This pic is hilarious because just out of the blue, while pictures were being taken, Kai jumped up and went front and center for the pictures. Look at her Teachers's reaction to it even, so funny, she is so darn cute!

It's our tradition to go to the pumpkin path every year to do fun activities and pick our our pumpkins to carve. As always, we had a great time on a hay ride, at the petting farm, jumping into piles of hay, playing on the playground, and so much more!

Carving pumpkins is also a fun tradition on our house. Kai loves to clean and feel the guts! The girls were actually able to do their pumpkins almost by themselves this year, Austin helped a little, but for the most part they had their carving tools and did it mostly on their own.

Cute carved pumpkins! Tyler's is the bat on the far left, then mine os the witch, Austin made out last name Lewis (and helped the girls),  and Kai did the Cat.

These were some fun games at the Elementary School Halloween Bash. They had games, a scavenger hunt, crafts, trick-or-treating, and haunted house, and food, it was a lot of fun!

The kids got so much candy! They were excellent trick-or-treaters (well trained by their Mommy), then immediately came home and dumped it out to sort and exchange.

What a fun October we had, with memories that we will never forget and ongoing traditions. We are so blessed to have each other and be able to spend these fun holiday's together! I love my girls so much and I am so glad to be able to participate in these events with them!

Tyler's Birthday

This post is so past due, but I didn't want to forget about it, so better late than never, I guess...

Tyler had a fun 8th birthday party at our house with her friends and family. I can't believe she is 8, just growing up too fast! Tyler is such a wonderful little girl and we just love her to pieces. She is kind, smart, responsible, loving and just so fun to have around.

For her party, Tyler wanted a pink zebra theme, so I got work work on a fun cake, and I thought it tuned out so cute, and she loved it. We had a fun sand craft activity for the kids, and a make your own pizza buffet with breadsticks. The weather was beautiful, so the kids played outside a lot and everyone had a great time.

Happy Birthday to our amazing little 8 year old, we love our Tyler!!

Empty, Quiet House...

I can't believe both my girls are in school. Tyler 2nd grade, and Kai Kindergarten.
Today's was Kai's first day, and it is so hard for me to take her to school with a happy, smiley face, when I really just want to keep her home with me! But, she has been so excited and is so ready for school. Last night at dinner, she started showing her nerves and decided she didn't want to take the bus home and didn't know what to do and lunch, and would not have anyone to play with at recess. I talked to her about all of it and between Austin and I we got her settled down and back to being excited. I thought she would have a hard time this morning after last night, but she was up and ready to go this morning just happy as could be! Standing in her Kindergarten line to go to school she is just the cutest thing ever, such a big moment for her and she was so brave, happy and ready!
It was nice to have Daddy there too to help her on her first day, but mostly to help ME on her first day!
I will be thinking about her all day and wondering what she is doing and if she is happy. AT least Sister is at school too, and she will be a great sight for Kai to see after school and help with the bus. I can't wait to meet BOTH my girls at the bus stop today for a big hug, it will be the best part of my day!

Bye, little Kai, Kai, we LOVE, LOVE you!

Summer Vacation

The day Tyler got out of school, we packed the car and drove to Utah to spend the next 4 weeks with family, and friends for summertime fun! Well, at least the girls had fun, and I did too, when I was not nauseous, and vomiting due to this pregnancy! Austin flew in before we came home to spend a week and a half with us and see family, then he drove us back home.
Below are some pictures of our fun times and memories!

These are all the grandkids in the Gregory family with my Mom and Dad

We had a family Reunion with the Married Children in the Lewis Family at their Cabin. Katie is off working in the Swiss Alps, and David currently lives in Denver.  We had a great few days with everyone and the grandkids sure kept Grosi and Vati busy!

Austin Jesse and the 3 girls on the tube pulled behind Vati's boat.

That would be me wake boarding (has been 2 years since I did it last time, and I am 3 mo pregnant). Tyler is so cute holding flag for me!

Lunch after a day at the lake.
Kai wanted so badly to just jump in the water and swim! She was one happy girl!

Austin, the girls, and I sat together a watched this incredible lightening/thunder storm at the cabin.

Our 4-wheeler ride to Daniel Summit for Breakfast, always a fun time!

Everyone helping do a service project of putting packets together of baby items for new mother's in other countries that are in need.

All the grandkids from the Lewis Family, with Grosi and Vati.

Austin even went wake boarding!

We spent a couple weeks at my parents house in Draper and the girls loved helping Grandpa outside with picking cherries from the tree, killing robins from the cherry tree and planting them in a grave in the garden, then digging them up to show their cousins, picking raspberries from the garden, going on the zip line, riding on the 4 wheelers, and having a "weenie roast" as my Dad would say.

One of Tyler and Kai's favorite things to do... help Grandpa mow the lawn!

Tyler lost another tooth while we were in Utah, only this time she had the special treat of having Evelyn (a dear friend of our family) pull it for her. Evelyn pulled every-single-one my me and all my brothers and sisters teeth when we grew up. As our teeth became loose enough to come out, our Mom would say, "Go to Evelyn's and get that tooth out". Evelyn said my parents couldn't handle doing it themselves :). So, it was only right that since it was time for Tyler's tooth to come out, we went down the street to Evelyn's. She is so nice, gentle, and caring. Not only does she do the job, but she gives money at the end too!

The newest baby in the Gregory Family. Danna Lee and Adams baby, Sam. He is so cute and was fun to hold and let the girls get a little practice! Kai said to me, "You just wait until Sam finds out that they named that baby Sam, he is going to freak out!"  Thought was was so funny of Kai, Kai!

A big group of us went to the Lehi parade, which the girls LOVED, after Doug and I ran the Lehi 5K that morning. Not my fastest race ever, but I guess thats to be expected when I am pregnant! Although, I still managed to come in first in my age group and Doug even came in 3rd in his age group, he did a great job!

After we first got to Utah, I took the girls on a family trip to Yellowstone with my parents and my sister Katie and her family. Considering my pregnancy sickness, and Katie being pregnant too, I think it went pretty well. The girls really had a good, educational, fun experience and loved that they were with their cousins the entire time. I remember going to Yellowstone as a child with my family, so I am so glad to give my kids the same memories and opportunity. We stayed in my parents trailer in West Yellowstone right outside the entrance to the park. They loved to see the animals and geysers. We actually saw a total of 10 bears, and almost every bear we saw had a couple baby cubs, that was so fun to see! We also saw Elk, a Coyote, Deer, and Bison of course.. (then Kai would go on to say, and Hyenas, Tigers, Lions...)
