My Tyler's Birthday!

Happy Birthday Tyler Ann Lewis!

She really is 4 today, I can't believe it's been 4 years!

Tyler was born in San Antonio, TX on Sept 22nd 2004 at 1:30 AM at the Lackland Air Force Hospital . I was in labor for 3 LONG days until she finally decided she was ready. She was 6 lbs 11 oz and a beautiful, healthy baby!

Austin and I loved our little baby from that moment and we have loved her every day since. It's been a wonder 4 years and she is growing and learning every day. Tyler has a little smile and giggle that could brighten anyone's day. She loves to play with friends, preschool, painting, reading books, and hanging out with her Mommy, Daddy and Sister.

I am so blessed to have her in my life and to just be with her every day.

Stick Figure People

Tyler brought this picture to me the other day and wanted me to see it, now normally I say "Oh Tyler, what a beautfil picture!" But, this time I was sooo impressed and thought her picture was wonderful and I wanted to cry as I was so proud that she made a huge milestone in her development. If any of you have studied child development, you will know that drawing "stick people" is a milestone for their development and I was so happy when Tyler showed me her "stick people" drawing. She said that these people were all holding hands in a circle and the other stick people were climbing up a ladder.
Also, Today was Tyler's first day of Preschool and here are a couple pics of her with her teacher and in the classroom. She loves school and learning and her favorite thing to do is paint and color. As a mom, I just love to see her growing and learning and absorbing everything so fast. I am so proud of her and I can't wait to be involved with her in school this year and many years to come. I love you bug!
Love,
Mommy!

Pictures of My Girls

My mother in law took these pic's of my girls while we were in Utah to save me a trip to Kiddie Kandids, and I absolutely LOVE them, WAY better than any photo studio I could have gone to. I thought they turned out so good and so cute. Now I can't decide which one's to frame and print. I have hundreds and I am only posting a few and some of my favorites would not show up right on the blog for some reason, but here a a few of them that I could get to work. Thanks so much to my mother in law for the time and love she put into taking these.

Alaska

Ok, Ok, Ok......

Its been a long time, but I have been so crazy busy this summer and I have just had no time to blog, but hopefully I can get back on track and start up again.
So, where do I begin about our summer? Well, I thought I would have this post be all about our latest adventure to Alaska on a cruise!
I went with all my brothers and sisters and their spouses and my Mom and Dad. My Dad wanted to give this vacation to us as his retirement gift and have us all together and create some memories. We had such a great time and it was so beautiful. We had a great break from our kids while Grandma and Grandpa Lewis had them for 8 days! They had such a good time and we are so grateful to them for watching the girls.

This was at a stream in our first port, Ketchikan, where thousands of Salmon were spawning up stream. It was very interesting to see and I love to watch fish, so it was a lot of fun.

Austin thought it would be fun to catch a salmon with his hand, so he went to the ledge a caught about 3 or 4. It was funny because the other tourists stopped and were taking pictures and filming him catch the fish.

Well, I have so many pic's and I will post more later on, but I thought I was doing good just updating my blog. We had a wonderful time in Alaska and it was so beautiful to see the glaciers and mountains, and the ocean. We saw whales, sea otters, bears, and lots of other amazing sights. I thank my Mom and Dad for giving us this amazing opportunity and we had so much fun with my family and brothers and sisters. I have memories that will really last forever and we will never forget our experience.
